Shawn Simon, MA, is a Board Certified Educational Therapist and the author of Stepping into a New Role, Stories from Stepmoms. She is currently working on two more books: a book full of stories for both stepdads and stepmoms, and a book of stories about differences. As someone born with only one arm, Shawn has learned to overcome obstacles, leading her to work with children with learning differences and to writing a book full of stories about people with all kinds of differences. Shawn is published in the Association of Educational Therapists’ Journal and is an award-winning inspirational speaker in her field. She lives in Southern California with her husband, her two stepchildren, and three rescue dogs.
